GLPL & MSPSP LEAGUE

U13 AND ABOVE

The Great Lakes Premier League is an elite team-based league within the MSPSP competitive structure and serves as a qualification pathway for US Youth Soccer's National League. Matchday expectations are increased: higher coaching standards, higher officiating standards, and the need to earn your place.

Teams in GLPL can participate in MSYSA's Elite Cup.
Must have a coach on roster with a USSF C license or higher.

The Premier 1 and Premier 2 divisions represent Premier level competition. Premier 1 will often require statewide / increased travel commitments. Premier 2 will often be regionalized where able. Teams in these divisions have their own State Cup, known as the "Premier State Cup", providing a pathway for Champions to secure placement to the GLPL as well as USYS Presidents Cup Regionals.

Must have a coach on roster with a USSF D license or higher.
Teams participate in MSYS's Premier State Cup.

The Classic divisions are structured to provide local competition, minimize travel obligations and putting nearby clubs head to head. Divisions are composed of teams grouped from similar regions.

GVSA LEAGUE

U7 AND ABOVE

GVSA was founded in 1996 with the goal of providing a competitive youth soccer for youth teams in the Metro Grand Rapids and Lakeshore areas. GVSA has grown from 23 teams to 425 teams this Fall, in the U8 through U19 age groups, as well as over 87 area Premier teams. GVSA Elite Division extends league play to include Capital Area Soccer League "CASL" and West Michigan Youth Soccer Association "WMYSA". The goal of the Elite Division is to better progress teams for MSPSP at the U11 and U12 age level through higher competition.
